An interview with Katie Thomson
Starting a business as a mom of two isn’t easy. Leaving a comfortable job and being faced with uncertainty can make it even more difficult. But that’s exactly what Katie Thompson did.
In this interview she talks about her journey creating her company and the supports and systems she had in place to make it happen.
Katie Thomson is the Co-founder and CEO of Square Baby. She’s a mom of 2 and Registered Dietitian with a Masters in Nutrition. She spent her career pioneering nutrition strategy for some of the biggest and most respected brands. As the first Nutritionist for Starbucks Coffee Company, she shaped their Health & Wellness strategy and made foundational shifts to the menu. When she became a mom, Katie shifted all of her energy to creating a better solution for parents and babies and so she created Square Baby, a baby food company that has Nutrition Science at their core.
